Join us for a mid-day program on Wetlands Regulations and the Law
On Wed, November 13, bring your lunch to Portland and learn from the experts.
The end of the 2024 Hurricane Season and the obvious impact of heavy rain on the landscape is a good time to explore the regulatory environment on the management of wetlands and construction in areas where wetlands may exist. In 2023, a majority opinion by the U.S. Supreme Court (Sackett v EPA) drastically scaled back federal protections for America's wetlands. The presenters from three E2Tech members will provide some historical context and speak about current uncertainties with respect to definitions.
This mid-day event is being held in the Moot Court classroom at the University of Maine School of Law (300 Fore Street, Portland). E2Tech and its partners and sponsors will provide drinks and dessert. Participants will bring their own lunches. The presentations on 11/13 will begin at 12:20, so you can arrive around noon to pick up your name tags and get settled in.
Speakers:
Richard Jordan, President of Flycatcher
Eben Baker, Senior Wetland Scientist at Stantec
Maye Emlein, Associate at Verrill Dana
Stantec is a confirmed Gold Level sponsor for the program.
