The CWMWDB administers WIOA Title 1B Adult, Dislocated Worker and Youth Employment and Training and Emergency Dislocated Worker Programs for Androscoggin, Franklin, Kennebec, Oxford and Somerset Counties. Western Maine Community Action is our partner and expert local service provider. They operate at seven designated Career Centers in all five counties. They offer alternative public meeting spaces on request and have remote capability.
WIOA is the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, landmark legislation that is designed to strengthen and improve our nation's public workforce system. WIOA helps the unemployed, including those with significant barriers to employment, to prepare for high-quality jobs.
